Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after 2 weeks Within two weeks of purchasing, it stopped working. I followed the instructions, ensured it never ran out of water, tried to change the wick yet still nothing. Loved the product the few times it actually worked. Very disappointing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked Great...til it didn't. I bought this in May'19 and used in in my office until Sep'19. It worked great and kept the air really comfortable in a very dry work environment. Thought I'd made a great purchase until one day I turned it on and it wasn't releasing anything, and I noticed that the little metal piece in the vent looked crooked. When I tapped it with the end of a pen the entire piece (including the plastic) basically shattered and now the entire thing is useless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well I received one as a gift and didn't use it for a long time. When I got a guitar for Christmas I realized I could use it to keep the humidity up in the immediate area where I keep the guitar. I could raise the humidity by 10 - 15%, which suited the guitar well. Unfortunately after two 6 month periods of close to continuous service the vibrator failed. I bought a new one and am hoping to get a longer life out of it.

Are the wicks needed for this humidifier? I've used different humidifiers before that dont have a wick and they've worked fine. The water I'm putting in is clean. Thanks.

Thank you for you question. This humidifier does require wicks. The humidifier will not produce mist without a wick.

How often must the wick be replaced?

When I turn it makes a noticeable sound as it runs. I tried changing the wick and cleaning it. Is this normal? How can I get it to stop? It's a pretty annoying sound.

Mine is spitting water all over my desk! It was working fine yesterday. I took it apart and wiped it down, checked to see if anything was clogging the spout but it's still spitting. The wick is new. I just put it in a week ago.

I just bought a mini HoMEDICS humidifier and it stop working. The bleu light is on but there's no mist coming out. What is wrong with

We recommend cleaning the humidifier and changing the wick. To clean the ultrasonic nebulizer, you must first remove the spring loaded wick. To remove the wick, turn the top humidifier cover over. Turn the spring loaded wick holder to the left. Remove the spring loaded wick and set aside. Make a solution of mild dish soap and water. Dip a soft bristle brush into the solution and brush ultrasonic nebulizer. Wipe clean with a soft cloth. Soak the wick in water for 2 minutes. Place the wick into the wick holder and secure to the humidifier top cover by turning to the right.

Is it possible to ad some essential oil in the water?

No. This model is not designed to be use with essential oils. Using essential oils can damage the humidifier.

I have the round personal humidifier and just ordered new wicks and for whatever reason the humidifier does not seem to work anymore ...the blue light comes on and you can feel the heat but no steam. I love this little unit and am very sad it stopped .

We suggest cleaning the water tank once every two to three weeks, depending on your water conditions. Clean tank using a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. To clean the ultrasonic membrane, you must first remove the wick. Make a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Dip a soft bristle brush into the solution and brush ultrasonic membrane. Wipe clean with a soft cloth. Clean both sides of membrane. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact Consumer Relations at 1-800-466-3342 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST for assistance.
