Customer Reviews
TotalClean® 5-in-1 UV Medium Room Air Purifier is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Customer Service I bought 5 of the Total Clean 5 in 1 Air Purifiers for each of my children and for my home with this terrible Covid-19 out of control. 3 of them worked great. Two of the 5 the UV light bulb switch kept blinking red which according to the owners manual means the bulb should be replaced. I contacted the company and they replaced one of the bad bulbs and it is working fine. However it has now been 9 weeks since I mailed the other bad bulb in and still no response from customer service. When I called they thought I was trying to resell them, but I told them they were all for my family. I just want them to send me the one UV light bulb so I can start using it in my home. I have purchased many other Homedics products and have not had any problems with any of them.

Asked by: AdelA

How do I know the ionizer is working? Other then the button lighting up nothing seems to happen/change

Asked by: Dugggg
Thank you for your question. Ion particles have a positive or negative charge that attaches to airborne particles, making them easier to be captured by the filtration system. The ION button will glow blue to indicate the ionizer is in use. You may hear occasional popping sounds when the ionizer is used. This is normal. Dust particles may accumulate on surfaces around the air purifier when the ionizer is in use. These dust particles can be vacuumed or wiped away with a soft, damp cloth.

Does the UVC light produce ozone?

Asked by: Mosquito
Thank you for your question. The UVC light does not produce ozone. However, air purifier has an optional IONIZER. When used the Ionizer will produce a small amount of ozone. The ionizer produces less ozone than the UL-established limits of 0.05 ppm. Ozone may be harmful around birds and small pets. To prevent ozone buildup, use the ionizer feature in a well-ventilated area.
